Why? People from all over the world were testing stolen card numbers against this site (and other small ebookstores) to see if the stolen card would work. Since we offer real-time validation, if they could successfully order an ebook, then they went off and bought bigger ticket items with the stolen card numbers. Later, when the bank discovered the charges against stolen cards, the bank came back at me for the stolen ebook and charged an additional $25 fee...

...and since we weren't selling many ebooks, well, it made sense to close.
